Originally hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, Matthew comes from a diverse and creative background.  His Japanese / Italian family taught him during his formative years to appreciate and respect a multitude of different cultures and ideas, the most dominant of which was a love of the arts.

 

Matthew has since pursued creative interests in film, television, and theatre.  He has held leading/supporting roles in a number of stage productions, independent films, web-series, and commercials.  His most recent TV credits include Agent Garret Hansen on State of Affairs (NBC), Scorpion (CBS), How To Get Away With Murder (ABC), American Horror Story (FX), and Game Shakers (Nickelodeon).

 

Matthew has also recently been seen onstage in CCPA’s regional production of Legally Blonde: the Musical as Warner Huntington III, the bi-coastal hit stage production of Jersey Shoresical: A Frickin’ Rock Opera as Pauly D, and just concluded a widely successful run of Falling Apples Productions’ ‘Off Book,’ a choose-your-own-ending, world premiere comedy at The Secret Rose Theatre in NoHo.

 

Matthew is also working towards an American Sign Language Interpreting degree, and currently studying through Pierce College’s renowned ITP.

 

Matthew is a firm believer in positive karma, and is constantly finding new ways to maintain creativity, as instilled by his family.  Matthew enjoys volunteering, producing, writing and film-making, while always maintaining an optimistic approach to life.
